Woolworths has announced its 2016 Carrier of the Year awards at the company’s fourth Transport Safety Seminar.
Goldstar Transport and SRT Logistics were recognised as the carriers that have delivered outstanding performance in safety, compliance and service. Goldstar Transport is a Western Australia-based family-owned business operating in the Kewdale Welshpool area, providing inbound transport services in the local market to support Woolworths’ Perth Regional Distribution Centre operations.
SRT Logistics is a family-owned Tasmanian transport company that has operated in Tasmania for the past 25 years, in that time expanding from a refrigerated transport company to a complete supply chain service provider.
“Road safety is all of our responsibility and we’re committed to working closely with our carriers and regulators to make our roads as safe as possible,” Woolworths Head of Transport Chris Brooks said. “On behalf of Woolworths, I would like to congratulate both SRT Logistics and Goldstar Transport on winning the 2016 Woolworths Group Carrier of the Year awards.”
