Woolworths and BIG W are celebrating 70 Years of Disneyland Resort in California with the return of the Disney collectibles program.
Between 16 July and 26 August, customers can collect a free Disney Discs pack, containing one collectible disc and card, with every $30 spent in-store and online at Woolworths, Big W, Metro and MILKRUN.
With 40 unique Disney Discs to collect, customers will discover characters from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars, alongside designs inspired by magical Disneyland Resort in California lands like Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Avengers Campus, and Cars Land. An “ultra-rare” Partners Statue of Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse at Disneyland disc will also be available, with only a handful of these in circulation.
A new collector’s album ($12) will include an exclusive foldable game board with 3D buildable replicas of some of Disneyland Resort’s most iconic attractions and experiences.
Woolworths Group Chief Marketing Officer Michael Laxton says the retailer is bringing a bit of extra magic to the shopping experience with the Disney collectible.
“This year it’s more than just a collectible,” he says. “The board game in the collector’s album will give families even more ways to connect and play together.”
Tim Everett, Vice President and General Manager of Consumer Products Commercialisation, at The Walt Disney Company Australia & New Zealand says the company is happy to unveil this special commemorative collection of Disney Discs.
“This is yet another exciting collectible we’ve proudly released in collaboration with our valued partners at Woolworths and BIG W, continuing our shared commitment to bringing Disney magic into the homes of Australian families,” he says.
Customers will be able to gain an additional pack of cards when purchasing a range of participating products, with a limit of three bonus packs per participating brand per shop. Everyday Rewards members can also look out for exclusive offers to help them complete their collections even faster.
