Woolworths opens two new stores in Sydney

Crows Nest and Mascot, in Sydney’s north and south, respectively, are home to two of Woolworths’ newest stores.

The 3,200sqm Mascot store, which opened officially on Wednesday, is the result of a $6.2 million investment. Woolworths says it provides customers with fresh fruit and vegetables, inspiring meal ideas, a wide choice of healthy options and a huge range at great prices.

Woolworths Mascot Store Manager Anil Prakash said 140 people would be employed at the store, creating employment opportunities for the area.

The store features a fresh sushi bar and on-site liquor outlet. It also has a focus on wellness with the Woolworths Macro range that includes free-range, ‘free-from’ and organic choices.

Twenty-six check-outs are available, including traditional, express and self-serve versions.

The 3,800sqm Crows Nest store is part of a $52 million investment and officially opened yesterday (April 28). In addition to Woolworths’ usual offer, the store features a dedicated Thomas Dux aisle.

Twenty-two check-outs – traditional, express and self-serve – will be available

Led by Store Manager Terese Borg, 115 people are employed at the store.

Woolworths celebrated the new store launches with donations to the stores’ communities, including a cheque presentation to Mascot Public School, Phoenix House Foundation and North Sydney Girls and North Sydney Boys High Schools.
