A new shopping centre at Frasers Property Australia’s The Grove community in Tarneit in Melbourne’s west will see Woolworths as the anchoring supermarket tenant.
The Grove retail centre comprising two sections divided by Bethany Rd will be linked by a pedestrian crossing and reserve.
The retail section will feature a full-sized 4000sqm Woolworths supermarket in addition to more than 20 retail outlets across a further 4000sqm centre that includes a bakery, greengrocer, nail bar, pizza restaurant, Chemist Warehouse outlet and Anytime Fitness gym.
Facing the retail precinct across Bethany Rd will be a learn-to-swim school with a 25m pool, Hungry Jacks fast food outlet, service station and a car wash.
There will be 260 car spaces for the retail precinct, and additional 60 spaces to service the swim school and adjacent tenants. Bus stops on either side of Bethany Rd will link through to the Tarneit and Werribee railway stations, ensuring convenient and seamless connections.
Construction is set to begin in mid-2024 and is expected to take two years to complete.
Frasers Property Australia General Manager Development Victoria Sarah Bloom says with a range of communities and facilities at The Grove already complete, the new retail centre will be the final jewel in the community’s crown.
“The Grove residents already enjoy easy access to schools, parks, playgrounds and wetlands within their community, and now the final piece of the convenience puzzle will slot into place with this new retail precinct,” she said.
Empire Properties will develop, construct and manage the new shopping centre on the adjacent site it purchased from Frasers Property in 2020.
Empire Properties founder Tony Masalkovski says The Grove retail precinct will be a striking addition to the shopping options in the area.

Nestled between the Werribee River and Davis Creek, The Grove is a 167ha community which will eventually be home to 2600 families. More than 1600 people already call The Grove home.
