Events: Future Food Brisbane

Food Innovation Australia (FIAL) and Brisbane Marketing are collaborating to bring together the Future Food Brisbane initiative – a series of workshops and events created specifically for the food and agribusiness industry.

The program includes:

China e-commerce market readiness

This workshop is aimed at providing a comprehensive understanding on:

  • China’s e-commerce market, cultural intelligence, high-demand food sectors, marketing strategies, protecting a brand, and IP.
  • How to manage payments, logistics solutions, warehousing and price points.
  • Latest policy changes in regulation and duties.
  • Links to support and services available for Australian exporters. Please note: it is a prerequisite that you attend this workshop if you are looking to secure a one to one appointment at the JD.com Meet the Buyer event (unless your company has experience selling to China via online platforms).

JD.com ‘Meet the online retailer’

A general industry briefing with Chinese e-commerce company JD.com will cover how to tap into the world’s largest e-commerce market and access China’s rapidly emerging middle-class consumer base. Australian businesses looking to expand into the Chinese market are encouraged to “take advantage of this rare opportunity” to connect with online retailer JD.com and secure a one-to-one meeting.

  • Presentation tools for consumers.

‘Coles Brand Meet the Team’ event

This includes:

  • A general briefing session from Coles Brand GM Tim Milano and Head of Coles Brand Mark Field, with the opportunity to network over morning tea afterwards.
  • An opportunity for food companies and agribusinesses to secure a one-to-one meeting with a member of the Coles Brand team. Those submitting expressions of interest will receive an invitation via email before the event, which will include the appointment time.
