Milo has launched a new range of products, Milo Pro Powder with added protein and Milo Protein Snack Bars.
According to the brand, a single glass of Milo Pro (when made with milk) provides 15g of protein. The new product is also said to continue to offer consumers the “crunch” and choc malt taste of original Milo and milk.
The new Milo Protein Snack Bars, with 20% protein and a source of fibre, are claimed to offer 6g of protein in every bar. They are also promoted as containing the choc malty taste of Milo, “balanced” with a “satisfying crunch”, “topped off” with a drizzle of rich dark choc.
“Milo has been an Aussie favourite for generations, and we want people to be able to continue to enjoy it in a way that suits their lifestyle,” says Nestlé General Manger of Dairy Rebecca Dobbins.
“Protein can play an important role for many people, including teenagers and active Aussies who have additional nutrition requirements.
“Both Milo Pro when made with milk and Milo Protein Snack Bars not only provide additional nutritional benefits but consumers will enjoy the Milo choc malt taste and crunch of original Milo, that Aussies know and love.”
Milo Pro Powder 700g (RRP $15.50) is available from late-May in Woolworths, Coles and independent grocers. Milo Protein Snack Bars (RRP $8 for a pack of six) will be available from mid-June in Coles and independent grocers.
