Aldi recognised as Trusted Trader

AldiAustralia has been recognised as a Trusted Trader by the Australian Border Force.

The Australian Trusted Trader (ATT) program recognises business with a secure supply chain and compliant trade practices.

Aldi is said to meet these requirements by operating within a trusted supply chain. This allows Aldi access to benefits such as reduced waiting time for the release of goods at the border.

“We work hard to ensure that our dealings with the Australian Border Force are consistent and that responsibility is taken every step of the way,” Aldi Australia Corporate Logistics Director Adam Maher said.

“The accreditation is a nod to the hard work of our Logistics team, who are responsible for the smooth transition from customs, to our warehouse and finally to our stores,” Mr Maher added.

Who does this accreditation benefit?

Aldi says the accreditation will benefit several stakeholders, including business partners, buying teams and customers.

Aldi business partners can be confident that the goods they supply will experience faster customs processing and fewer interventions.

Buying teams will benefit from increased efficiency and the security of knowing shelves are sufficiently stocked. This security is said to also help Aldi forge new global trade links.

The accreditation is said to benefit customers by providing certainty that products will be on shelves as promised.
