Chicago Vegan Foods has made its vegan marshmallow product, Dandies, available to the Australian marketplace.
According to the US-based company, its flagship product is 100% vegan, plant-based, vegetarian-friendly, certified kosher, and gluten free.
Promoted as the first vegan and gelatine-free marshmallow to be widely available, Dandies is said to be made with “real” vanilla and vegan cane sugar. They contain no artificial flavours or colours, no corn syrup, no gelatine, and no gluten.
Dandies is also free of the common allergens, including wheat, dairy, eggs, corn, peanuts, and tree nuts.
“We updated the iconic marshmallow to be aligned with the better-for-you appetite of today’s health-conscious consumers,” says Chicago Vegan Foods Marketing Director Dan Reed.
“We’re excited to bring Dandies to a whole new community in Australia and are proud to be making treats people can feel good about enjoying and sharing with their family and friends.”
Dandies is available in a traditional roasting size and as mini marshmallows for retail. The product is also available for foodservice and industrial customers.
