Bickford’s Premium Plant range pleases plant-based lovers

Aussie consumers are loving milk-alternatives, so much that the category sales have grown 48% to 132 million litres, in the past four years.

Bickford’s see’s this trend and is presenting five different plant-based milk varieties, to feed the milk-alternative appetite.

The Premium Plant range includes the varieties: Almond, Oat, Cashew, Macadamia and, Pistachio.

All milks are made from over 90% Australian ingredients, with no artificial sweeteners or GMOs, and have been created for various milk needs throughout the day.

“2020 has been full of change, with Aussies adapting the way they live more than ever before,” says Bickford’s Group Sales and Marketing Manager, Chris Illman.

“We’re responding to global demand for plant-based milks and Bickford’s Premium Plant Milk is the rest of investment in world-class technology.

“Combining Australian innovation with over 100 years of expertise, Bickford’s continues to lead the way in beverage production,” says Mr Illman.

From café to kitchen

As mentioned, the milks can be used for a variety of purposes.

“We’ve extensively tested each product for multiple uses – from café-envy style milk, to topping your cereals or as an alternative when baking, to meet various ‘milk’ needs throughout the day – so that the range can be used like fresh milk and can be enjoyed hot or cold,” says Mr Illman.

Additionally, the new plant-based milk range is all made using PET, with a proportion of recycled content in the 1L bottles.

Professional surfer and vegan, Nikki Van Dijk has been following a vegan lifestyle for eight years, and is now working with Bickford’s.

“I’m proud to work with an Australian-owned company that is challenging Australians to think differently and discover new ways to consume plant milks.

“There’s a real misconception that we are limited in our choices,” continues Ms Dijk.

“…but I mix things up and use macadamia milk in my morning coffee, add the pistachio or oat milk to my cereal and use cashew milk for snacks and vegan desserts!”

The 1L Bickford’s Premium Plant Milks are available in Independent Retailers nationally and can found in the chilled drinks aisle for an RRP of $6.
