BIG W is slashing shelf prices on over 800 household essentials and family favourites for spring via its BIG Price Drop offer.
Starting today (17 September), prices on participating products will drop by an average of 17% as part of BIG W’s commitment to providing “great prices”.
Among items with the greatest savings is the Contempo Espresso Machine which was $79 and now reduced to $59. Unlike short-term promotions, the BIG Price Drop program offers longer-term reductions on standard shelf prices.
The expansion builds on BIG W’s inaugural BIG Price Drop in April where shelf prices on over 2000 products were reduced.
BIG W Chief Commercial Officer Christine Faulkner says the retailer understands that Australian families are feeling the pressure, and value has never been more important.
“Our first wave of Price Drops made a real difference for our customers, so we wanted to extend that value to even more products across the store,” she says.
“We’re adding a wide range of everyday essentials, beauty favourites, and kids’ toys to deliver immediate savings for the whole family. From pet food, kettles and toasters to nappies and cleaning products, our customers can trust they’re getting great value on the products they want and need.”
Greater savings will be available for shoppers if promotions are applied to these new shelf prices. Customers can also save more by scanning their Everyday Rewards card at the check-out and boosting BIG W offers available prior to shopping.
In-store tags highlight the new lower shelf price compared to the previous amount to help customers see their savings at the shelf. Additionally, new ‘Price Drop’ tickets will also help shoppers identify what items are available at a new lower price.
