Canadian Club signs on again with Australian Open

Canadian Club is gearing up for another big summer of tennis, confirming it has signed on as an official partner of the Australian Open for the second year in a row. The partnership builds on the 2014/15 activation on Grand Slam Oval by adding full-pourage within the Melbourne Park precinct and throughout the Australian Open series, which leads to the first grand slam of the year.

This year will also see the Australian Open expand the summer of tennis along the Yarra River, with the first ever Australian Open Festival, in Birrarung Marr, Melbourne.

“The Australian Open is one of the most iconic events on the Australian sporting calendar and, after great success in 2015, we are very excited to have renewed and expanded our partnership with the event,” Beam Suntory’s Marketing Director Trent Chapman said.

“Historically, when the Australian Open kicks off in January it always turns out to be a couple of the hottest weeks of the year – the perfect time for Aussies to enjoy a refreshing CC.”

The Canadian Club Racquet Club bar will be open for the duration of the Australian Open to all fans over the age of 18 looking for “a refreshing alternative in a beverage” and will be one of the best seats in the house to watch match highlights on the festival’s big screen while being served up ice cold Canadian Club.

Meanwhile, the ‘CC Summer of Tennis’ will extend nationally, from now through to February, dominating trade with significant off-premise promotions and on-premise venue support via tennis-themed displays and promotional prizes such as tennis bags, jackets, sunglasses, hats, tennis-themed eskies and tennis grip stubby holders.
