Coles appoints Chief Commercial Officer

Coles Group CEO Leah Weckert has announced the appointment of Anna Croft as Chief Commercial Officer to drive the supermarket’s merchandise strategy.

Ms Croft returns to Coles from MECCA Brands where she is currently Chief Operating Officer leading transformation and business operations for the iconic health and beauty business.

She brings more than 20 years’ experience in global retail, specialising in strategic leadership, cultural and business transformation in the United Kingdom and Australia with leading retailers Tesco, Coles, WHSmith, and MECCA Brands.

Prior to MECCA, Ms Croft spent 10 years at Coles and grew her career from buyer to General Manager of Grocery.

Coles CEO Leah Weckert says: “As Chief Commercial Officer, Anna will play an essential role with our team and suppliers to deliver exceptional quality products, innovative exclusive brands and convenient meal solutions for our customers at great value.

“Anna is an outstanding executive who knows our business and our customers. I’m delighted she’s returning to Coles with her significant leadership experience in local and international retail.”

Anna begins her role in January 2024.

The announcement follows two recent executive appointments, Chief Customer Officer Amanda McVay and Coles Liquor Chief Executive Michael Courtney, who have both commenced in their roles.
