A landmark study by Dare Iced Coffee reveals Australia is a nation of procrastinators, with 97% admitting to the practice.
Ahead of World Fight Procrastination Day (Sunday 6 September), brought Australia’s biggest-ever to-do list to life to Fed Square in Melbourne to galvanise the nation to grab a Dare Iced Coffee and help get stuff done.
NRL legend, Cameron Munster, was on hand to give the nation the kick it needs to turn its to-do list into a to-done list, offering one lucky punter a Munster mullet with its successful completion.
“No matter who you are, there’s always something you’ve been putting off,” Mr Munster said.
“For me it’s usually booking in my next haircut before the mullet gets out of control. That’s why I’m excited to help Dare turn a few to-dos into to-dones at Fed Square, including giving a brave Aussie the chance to walk away with a Munster mullet.”
The Procrasti-Nation Index report delves deep into the way procrastination can impact our social lives and relationships, personal health, financials and household maintenance, revealing its effect on many elements of our livelihoods
The study also identified what the majority of Aussies procrastinate on, with an overwhelming 88% of respondents confessing to starting completely unrelated tasks to avoid actual priorities, while 85% routinely promising themselves they will ‘start Monday’.
“The data shows we’ve become experts at putting things off, whether that’s household chores, health admin or social catch ups,” said Patrick Davis, Marketing Manager of Iced Coffee at Bega Group. “Dare Iced Coffee has always been there for moments when people needed a kick to get things done, and bringing Australia’s biggest to-do list to life at Fed Square is our way of tackling our collective delays head-on.”
