Food South Australia appoints new CEO

Food South Australia, the state’s peak body for the food and beverage manufacturing industry, has appointed of Tori Dixon-Whittle as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Food South Australia Chair Ray Borda expressed his delight in confirming the appointment this week. “After an extensive search process, we are delighted to welcome Tori Dixon-Whittle as the incoming CEO of Food South Australia. With her wealth of experience and dynamic leadership style, we are confident in her ability to steer our industry towards continued growth and success,” says Mr Borda.

Bringing with her over three decades of entrepreneurial and leadership experience across various sectors including, tourism, education, and manufacturing, Ms Dixon-Whittle is well-prepared to lead Food South Australia into its next chapter.

Her notable achievements include spearheading transformative initiatives as CEO of The Cedars, where she propelled the cultural landmark onto the national stage, enriching South Australia’s cultural fabric.

Prior to her role at The Cedars, Ms Dixon-Whitte served as Vice-President of the Australian Chamber of Commerce, Vietnam, where she played a key role in fostering strong business relationships across the Asia Pacific region.

Ms. Dixon-Whittle says, “I’m thrilled to dive into this new role, leveraging Food South Australia’s impressive groundwork to elevate our state’s food and beverage industry to even greater heights.”

Recognising the outstanding quality and diversity of South Australian food and beverages, Ms Dixon-Whittle expressed her commitment to showcasing the excellence of the state’s offerings both domestically and globally.

“It’s no secret that South Australia’s food and beverage scene punches well above its weight! I’m eager to collaborate with all stakeholders to highlight this, both locally and on the global stage, securing the recognition and economic success the industry rightly deserves,” sha said.

Ms Dixon-Whittle will commence her new position on 8 July 2024, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Food South Australia.
