The South Australian business says it will transport FruChoc fans back in time with a limited-edition run of retro packaging that sports the “instantly recognisable” FruChoc orange in its original design.
Menz CEO Phil Sims says he’s excited about the release of the vintage packaging, hoping it will bring back memories for the older South Australians who might remember the birth of FruChocs and allow newer FruChoc fans to appreciate the brand’s long-standing history.
“To celebrate the 75th anniversary, we’re offering FruChocs fans the chance to take a trip down memory lane, enjoying one of South Australia’s most iconic chocolate treats in a fun retro candy-stripe design packaging evocative of its original design in 1948,” he says.
“FruChocs hold a special place in the hearts of South Australians, and what better time to announce our vintage packaging than just in time for World Chocolate Day!”
The limited edition 75-year-old design will be available from all South Australian supermarkets and independent retailers from mid-July.
