HelloFresh launches new ‘nutritious’ meals for summer

HelloFresh has launched a new range of recipes, intended to make “nutritious eating” easy this summer.

The “flexible nutritious” menu includes a range of customisable options, including calorie smart, carb smart, dietitian-approved and planted-based options.

It launches following a recent global Food Trends & Innovation report by HelloFresh. This reveals that nearly half (46%) of the Australians surveyed plan to change their eating and cooking habits in 2022 to better look after their family’s health. 31% of the Aussie respondents want to cook with more vegetables over the next year.

HelloFresh Director of Culinary Innovation & Operations Hannah Gilbert says the company is always looking at ways to create new recipes and menu options that cater to its customer’s eating habits and feedback.

“As we settle into a new year, there’s no better time to refresh our menu and offer an easy way to prepare delicious, balanced meals to suit any lifestyle,” she says.

“With our summer nutritious menu and a range of customisable options, our goal is to make it as easy as possible to eat well this summer, while also helping Aussies connect with friends and family over fresh, nutritious meals.”

Dietitian-approved recipes

The new dietitian-approved recipes, according to HelloFresh, make it even easier to eat well.

Curated by HelloFresh’s in-house dietitians, the new meals use lean meats, whole grains and “plenty” of vegetables.

“Favourites” include the Pan-Fried Salmon & Garlic Sauce with Beetroot & Potato Wedges, Herbed Chicken & Lemon Pepper Fries with Tzatziki & Salad and Honey Mustard-Glazed Pork with Roast Pumpkin, Beetroot & Fetta.

Plant-based recipes

With more plant-based meals available, HelloFresh says it now features a “wide range” of recipes to suit every taste, with new alternative proteins and “special” plant-based cheeses and sauces.

The range of new recipes includes the Quick Caribbean Bean Bowl with Garlic Rice, Tomato Salsa & Corn Chips, the Plant-Based Crumbed Chick’n Tenders with Dill Potato Salad & Garlicky Veggies and the Cauliflower & Lentil Aloo Gobi with Tortilla Flatbreads.

In response to increasing demand, says HelloFresh, customers will be able to order an entire box of plant-based meals, with three recipes to choose from each week, starting from 20 February.
