HelloFresh has launched a summer entertaining menu, with the hopes of helping Australians easily reconnect over a delicious meal.
The menu includes a limited-edition grill meal kit range, as well as new BBQ friendly recipes, sides and dessert options.
It launches in response to a recent global ‘Food Trends & Innovation’ report by HelloFresh. The report reveals that more than one in ten (13%) Australian respondents plan to connect with people over meals this summer. Nearly one quarter (23%) see meals as a more important social occasion than ever before.
HelloFresh Director of Culinary Innovation & Operations Hannah Gilbert says the company is constantly looking at eating habits, and ways that it can continue innovating in response to trends and demand.
“As the weather heats up and people plan their long awaited get togethers, it’s the perfect time to launch our new summer menu and provide customers with an easy way to serve up nutritious, fresh and delicious meals as they host their friends and family once again,” she says.
“We wanted to make it as stress-free as possible for customers to celebrate and entertain at home, with the convenience of everything needed to host a summer BBQ in the one box.”
The new summer grill kits feature a range of BBQ and grill-friendly recipes. It includes a protein, a side and a salad in one “convenient” meal kit.
“To make hosting a crowd easy and convenient, customers can easily multiply their order for larger gatherings,” says HelloFresh.
Available from this week until the end of January, customers will be able to select a grill kit recipe from their weekly menu, for an additional $2.99 per serve.
“Favourites” include the Chargrilled Greek-Style Chicken Tenders with Haloumi, Tzatziki, Garlic Couscous & Flatbreads and the Loaded Beef & Bacon Sausage Sizzle with Sweet Potato Fries & Smoked Cheddar.
BBQ-friendly tagged recipes
HelloFresh has labelled all BBQ-friendly recipes on the website and app. The company says this makes it easier for customers to identify which recipes can be cooked on a grill, as well as the oven or stove.
“Hit meals” include the Indian Chicken Steaks with Special Potatoes & Cherry Tomato Salad and the Quick Beef Burger Bowl with Charred Corn Slaw and Burger Sauce.
Sides and desserts
From 6 December, a new range of seasonal sides and desserts will be available.
With the flexibility of menu add-ons, customers have the option to add extra serves if they know they have extra mouths to feed for a certain week.
Sides promoted as perfect for warmer weather include Roasted Corn Cobs & Zesty Mango Mayo with Parmesan, Spinach, Rocket & Pear Salad with Parmesan, Mint & Pine Nuts and Flatbreads. A dessert favourite includes the “decadent” Chocolate Brownies.
