IGA, Australia’s largest independent supermarket chain, has launched IGA Rewards Cash Back, a new and improved loyalty program designed to shake up the way you shop, with shoppers earning IGA Cash Back they can actually use.

Shoppers who purchase participating items will earn IGA Cash Back as part of the new IGA Rewards program. The more you shop, the more personalised IGA Cash Back deals will be offered to you each week. Once a shopper has earned $20 IGA Cash, they can unlock a Digital Visa IGA Rewards Card to spend their IGA Cash on eligible items in their next shop* at participating IGA Rewards stores.

According to IGA, 65 per cent of shoppers prefer cash back based on what they spend over points**. “Shoppers want rewards that actually help with the weekly budget, not something they have to decode or convert. That’s why IGA Rewards keeps it simple: no confusing conversions, no waiting around – just real IGA Cash Back you can use on your weekly shop.”

To mark the launch of IGA Rewards Cash Back, the supermarket is going big with a $100,000 giveaway. For one day only, Ashcroft’s IGA Erskine Park in Sydney’s west will transform into the ultimate rewards hotspot, with locals set to share in a massive giveaway – the IGA Rewards $100K Local Pay Day.

On Thursday, 18 September, shoppers are invited to join the celebration. “Simply sign up to IGA Rewards and download the IGA Rewards app for the chance to unlock your share of the $100,000 prize pool – it’s IGA’s way of saying thanks to the community, and giving back where it counts.”

From 8am, local shoppers can:

• Head down to Ashcroft’s IGA Erskine Park for your chance to win big
• Existing IGA Rewards members need to make sure that they’ve downloaded the IGA Rewards app and have linked their existing IGA Rewards card in the app
• New members need to sign up to IGA Rewards by visiting igarewards.com.au/download and follow the instructions
• Once they’re at the front of the register, IGA Rewards members can select an envelope to reveal the value of their IGA Cash Back reward (prizes will range from $100 – $4,000)
• Present their IGA Rewards card to staff to have their IGA Cash Back added to their digital wallet (IGA Cash Back won’t be available for use for a minimum of 48 hours)
• Eligibility: Open to NSW residents aged 18+.
