New online options at Harris Farm Markets

Harris Farm Markets has launched delivery options for its online grocery shoppers, offering a one-hour delivery window as well as same-day delivery for orders placed by 5pm.

The NSW-based Australian-owned company says its online sales have increased by 60 per cent year on year while the number of Australian shoppers buying its groceries online has doubled since July 2014.

“Our online business now represents more than four per cent of all retail sales and is the fastest growing channel within our business,” Harris Farm Markets Co-CEO Angus Harris said. “We see a real opportunity here to provide customers with something that other grocery store chains are not providing.”

According to customer-review platform ProductReview.com, Harris Farm’s online delivery system was the highest rated of Australia’s grocery-delivery businesses by customers. Reviewed on March 29, its score of 4.7 out of five beat out second placed Hellofresh.com.au (3.8 out of five), followed by Aussie Farmers Direct, Coles and Woolworths respectively.

“At Harris Farm we’ve always believed in providing a great customer experience: our customer is at the forefront of everything we do and our online offering is simply an extension of this,” Mr Harris said.

Currently, only Sydney metro customers can take advantage of the same-day delivery and one-hour delivery window, with regional areas to roll out the service in 2017.
