Nuffin’s dips a ‘beacon of sustainability’

Dip brand Nuffin says it has been “making waves” as Australia’s first dip range to be packaged in compostable paper tubs.

Since its launch in March 2022, Nuffin has emerged as a “beacon of sustainability” in the world of dips.

At the heart of Nuffin is the founder, Haydn Scott, who set an ambitious goal to slash plastic waste from Australian supermarket dip fridges by a staggering 25 tonnes before 2025. This commitment was driven by the idea of replacing conventional plastic dip containers with Nuffin’s compostable paper tubs.

“We estimated based on current recycling stats, that a staggering 2000 tonnes of dip fridge plastic end up in landfills and waterways each year,” says Mr Scott.

Nuffin has already exceeded its initial target of 25 tonnes over a year ahead of schedule. This, says the brand, is thanks to the unwavering support of environmentally conscious consumers who’ve embraced the product at retailers such as Woolworths, ALDI, and select independent supermarkets across the nation. The range will launch in Coles next month.

With this milestone in the rear-view mirror, the Nuffin team has set their sights on a new target: reducing plastic waste by 300 tonnes by 2030.

The Nuffin dip range offers a selection of six flavours, all free from preservatives.
