Shopper Media Group is to install more than 1,000 Smartlite digital advertising panels and high-density wi-fi in 300 shopping centres around Australia.
The 2015 ‘Deloitte Mobile Phone Consumer Survey’ indicated that more than 94 per cent of Australian shoppers relied on their smartphones to research products and acquire information while shopping, and that 59 per cent preferred to connect their smartphone using wi-fi instead of their mobile network.
Smartlite panels are aimed at offering unparalleled marketing influence in shopping centre advertising with HD screens, beacon technology, webcam and wi-fi analytics.
“Smartlites are as close to the point of purchase as your brand can be,” Shopper Media Group Managing Director Ed Couche said. “Our analytics provide advertisers with the unique opportunity to better integrate their messaging and, for consumers, it ensures they’re being served relevant information, providing them with an enhanced shopping experience within the centre.”
Shopping Centres Australasia (SCA) plans to install more than 200 Smartlites across more than 70 of its centres across Australia.
