SPC Care honours frontline staff

SPC Care, the nutritional health care division of SPC, is rewarding Australia’s aged care staff for their outstanding efforts as the first line of defence in protecting the nation’s most vulnerable people.

Sponsored by the SPC brands of SPC ProVital and Good Meal Co, and their industry media partner, HelloCare, the Aged Care Angels campaign gives everyday Australians the opportunity to nominate an outstanding residential aged care or community home care worker for their chance to win over $10,000 in total prizes. Nominators of prize winners will also receive a $50 gift card. A selected grand prize winner will have their story brought to life in an article by SPC media partner, HelloCare, and a feature on their online aged-care media platform.

SPC Care Senior Brand Manager Maria Naughton says, “We are very excited to run the Aged Care Angels campaign for a second year. Our inaugural campaign which ran in October 2021 was an overwhelming success. It was incredibly heart-warming to read the nominations coming from other staff and family members of someone in care. Those nominated weren’t only nurses but included kitchen staff, physical and music therapists, and reception staff.”

“Australia’s aged care workforce is continually asked to achieve more, with less, and they do this vital and demanding work with very little fanfare. Aged Care Angels is about rewarding those working in residential or community aged care and raising the awareness of the important work they do.”

Ms Naughton added, “Delivering care can often be thankless work, so we are asking Australians to step forward and tell us about the amazing aged care staff who are having a positive impact in older people’s lives.”
