Steggles Roosters Charity Nest welcomes new charity partners

The Steggles Roosters Charity Nest, an initiative by Steggles, has welcomed two new charities to the fold – Ronald McDonald House Charities Australia (RMHC) Australia and Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation.

They will be accompanied by two other nominated charities, the Children’s Cancer Institute and Children’s Hospital Foundation Queensland to support Aussie kids and families when they need it most.

The Steggles Roosters Charity Nest initiative is much more than a fundraising initiative, it’s an opportunity for Steggles, Roosters players and fans to show their support for the wider community. For every margin point the Roosters win by, Steggles donates $1000 and the Roosters donate $250 to the Steggles Roosters Charity Nest.

Since launching in 2010, the Charity Nest initiative has raised $4.9m for its partners, which aims to support children and their families doing it tough.

Ronald McDonald House Charities supports the needs of seriously ill children and their families. Since 2011, Steggles has been its National Kitchen Sponsor, supplying chicken to RMHC Australia-wide. RMHC’s addition to the Steggles Roosters Charity Nest is an extension of their support.

RMHC Corporate Partnerships Manager Amy Holton says, “Since working with Steggles and Sydney Roosters on a number of initiatives, we’ve seen first-hand the genuine connection between the players and the kids. We’re thrilled to officially be part of the Steggles Roosters Charity Nest and look forward to seeing the amazing work we can do together to support seriously I’ll children and their families.”

Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation is one of the country’s largest and most trusted kids’ health charities, helping to give all children access to the best possible health care available, whenever and wherever they need it.

Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation Corporate Relationship Manager Lauren Kara-George says, “We’re delighted to be a part of the Steggles Roosters Charity Nest to help make a difference and continue to make a positive impact on the lives of sick children and their families.

“From working closely with the Steggles Charity Nest, it’s clear that the two brands have charity in their heart. We’re honoured to be a part of the program and work alongside other incredible charities.”

Each player of the Sydney Roosters plays a huge part in helping to raise funds for the Steggles Roosters Charity Nest, especially when building connections with the children and families in each of the charity institutions.

Sydney Roosters COO Jarrod Johnstone says, “We’re proud to work with Steggles, a like-minded brand that shares the same commitment to helping a number of Australian children’s charities. We’re excited to see what 2023 holds for us and our amazing charity partners.”

Steggles has been providing Australians with quality poultry products for over 100 years, but its impact has gone above and beyond the family dinner table, extending into Australian communities through initiatives such as the Charity Nest.

Steggles Head of Marketing Yash Gandhi says, “Supporting children’s charities has always been a focus for us a business and we’re delighted to have Ronald McDonald House Charities and Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation join our Steggles Roosters Charity Nest (along with CCI and Children’s Hospital Foundation, Brisbane). We’re pleased that we can play a small part in helping support our charity partners continue to deliver the wonderful work they do for kids and their families doing it tough.”
