Woolworths’ Gold Christmas range includes 80 new products designed to help customers enjoy the best of local Australian producers.
Said to be perfect for entertaining the whole family, the new range of Woolworths Gold desserts feature a line of “quality treats with delicious taste combinations”. This includes honey, macadamias and lemon myrtle sourced from the Northern Rivers region of NSW.
The range also supports local suppliers such as Buonissimo Bakery, The Country Chef Bakery Co, and Hunter Heritage Gourmet Foods.
Beyond desserts, the Christmas range features a Gold Free Range Triple Smoked Ham from D’Orsogna and Sunpork. The Woolworths range of hams are sourced from Primo and Bertocchi.
Woolworths Food Company Managing Director Guy Brent says the retailer gets to play a special role by helping Australians celebrate the joy and magic of the holidays with the best of local suppliers.
“We’re launching nearly 80 new products on shelves this month alone, most of which are made here in Australia,” he says.
“We’ve enjoyed seeing customers become more passionate about supporting local producers, and our new Gold range makes it easier to add more Aussie made dishes to the Christmas spread.”
Mr Brent adds that while one in five of Woolworths’ customers have already started planning and preparing for their Christmas celebrations, more than half are waiting until the final weeks leading up to Christmas.
“Regardless of whether you’re a planner or enjoy the last-minute rush, you’ll continue to find new and exciting dishes for your Christmas spread over the next several weeks,” he says.
“For many of our new products, we’ve taken care of the time-consuming prep, with meats or sides already marinated, so customers can get everything they need in one shop, spending less time in the kitchen and more time celebrating with loved ones.”
