Woolworths and Share the Dignity team up for annual drive

Woolworths is supporting its long-term partner Share the Dignity this month by donating 5¢ from the sale of period care products to the charity.

The funds will help maintain a national network of over 110 Dignity vending machines across Australia, ensuring that free period products are available in essential community hubs, shelters, domestic violence refuges, hospitals and schools.

The pink collection boxes are also set up in stores, where customers can donate any period care products in their original packaging, including pads, tampons, menstrual cups, period undies, reusable pads, as well as incontinence aids.

Share the Dignity founder and Managing Director Rochelle Courtenay says access to period products isn’t a luxury – it’s a basic necessity.

“Thanks to Woolworths, our Dignity Drive collection boxes are available in communities across Australia, helping us close the gap for women, girls and all those who menstruate doing it tough,” she says.

Woolworths Community Partnerships Manager Loretta Arrastia says bringing the Dignity Drive to life each March is a true team effort between the retailer’s passionate store members and its generous customers.

“We’re incredibly grateful to every shopper who joins us in supporting Share the Dignity to ensure no one has to go without essential period care,” she says.

A number of offers will be available throughout the month across the period care range.

Woolworths has partnered with Share the Dignity since 2019, donating more than $3.3 million over the last seven years.
