Amazon Australia has grown its partnership with Harris Farm Markets, now delivering to customers in Newcastle, NSW.
Newcastle customers can now shop “thousands” of Harris Farm Markets products via Amazon with the availability of same-day and next-day delivery, with a minimum order value of $50.
The service launches in select postcodes from Hexham to the north, Eleebana to the south, Newcastle East to the east and Stockrington to the west.
Orders are fulfilled from Harris Farm’s Cooks Hill store, with Amazon Flex delivery partners providing last-mile delivery using specialised insulated and chilled packaging to maintain product freshness and quality.
Prime members will receive free shipping on Harris Farm orders of $100 and over, while non-Prime members will receive free shipping on orders over $200. Customers pay only for their groceries and applicable delivery fees – no service or bag fees.
Customers can schedule their delivery for a two-hour window and choose unattended delivery options for additional convenience.
Amazon Australia Head of Grocery Partnerships Suyog Sankhe says Australians said they wanted fresh groceries delivered fast, and Amazon listened.
“We’re thrilled to expand our partnership with Harris Farm Markets into Newcastle, enabling more customers to get quality fresh produce at their door the same day they order,” he says.
Harris Farm Markets co-CEO Angus Harris says the retailer is excited to bring the Harris Farm experience to more homes in Newcastle through its partnership with Amazon.
“Their logistics expertise helps us get more of the good stuff to more customers, more reliably, without compromising on what we’re known for – top quality products at great value,” he says.
Prime Free Same-Day Delivery expands
Alongside this announcement, Amazon has launched Prime Free Same-Day Delivery in a number of regional NSW hubs.
Prime members in Gosford and most of the Central Coast, and in Newcastle and the Lower Hunter Region, can now order from over a million products as late as 11am for delivery before 10pm that same day.
“For Prime members in these regions, we’re now delivering the products they want and need faster than ever, as quickly as the same evening,” says Amazon Australia Country Manager Matt Benham.
“We’re proud to be able to offer such a diverse selection of products available for Same-Day Delivery, so whether you need anything from a new small kitchen appliance, a set of headphones for your commute, or even a present for a last-minute kid’s birthday party, we’ve got you covered.”
Product categories include everyday essentials, small appliances and electronics, home and kitchen, beauty, books, toys, clothes, shoes and more.
To find items eligible for Prime Free Same-Day Delivery, Prime members can look for items marked with Prime delivery ‘Today by 10pm’ or the ‘Prime Free Same-Day’ badge on product detail pages on the Amazon app or website.
